Using Coral Cradles to mount your frags is made easy with different methods available.
Since our Coral Cradles are made out of Polycarbonate the Cynoacrylic glue creates a fast and very secure bond between the coral and mount. Other mounts made of ABS, Ceramic or Aragonite blends can't compare.
Test have been done to show that once the SPS coral touches the Polycarbonate the growth rate of the encrusting stage speeds up.
One Method of attaching your Soft Coral frags is to use a stainless steel thin wire or just thread cotton or fishing line through the coral and through the hole on the Coral Cradle. Then tie it down.
Pictured above is a piece of Sarcophyton, pierce with the wire and loop through the holes in the Coral Cradle. It takes about 7 to 10 days to attach. When the coral is attached simply pull the wire out and re-use.
The other method is using rubber bands.
Simply the easyist way to secure most corals. Xenia (cespitularia) can be secured by placing the cutting in the dimple and streatching a rubberband around the base.
When the coral is attached remove the rubberband and re-use.
In this picture the back corals have been rubberbanded and the front frags have had theirs taken off.
